Expansion of the conceptual framework with the creation of a landscape and the intervention of an architectural structure within it.
Step I
Analysis of different abstract landscapes, deriving a structural system. These systems were then merged to create a resultant landscape.
Step II
The merged landscape was then modeled using repeated units created from wood molding. Two interconnecting units of three rotated pieces were used for the assembly.
Step III
After modeling and rendering the landscape, an architectural structure was imposed, reflecting and adapting to the nodal and rotational condition of the landscape. Special emphasis was put on the filtered light treatment with a slatted shade lattice.
Step IV
Materialization of one section of the architectural structure, modeled at 1/8" scale. Material: wood and plexiglass.
